Here is part two of the video from the last post. Shot entirely on the iPhone as well, I chose the title/song "accept the new" because I feel people should embrace technology and explore what it can do. Press play and enjoy! The iPhone is an incredible piece of technology. I'm not going to start listing all the amazing capabilities it has, but I did want this post to showcase how good the phone is at recording video. With the help of my trusty 8mm app, this video came to life one rainy night while I was roaming the city with my friend Phil. There was no set plan for the video, it was just to experiment to see what the iPhone could do. I'm pretty happy with the result and I hope you are too. Press play, enjoy, and keep an eye out for more! Here's part two of my conversation with Ebenezer Cofie, otherwise known as Frostbyte. In this episode we discuss city inspiration, Kendrick Lamar + Frank Ocean, the beat process, and more. Press play and enjoy! This is the seventh episode of a series entitled 'Universal Language Originators.' The idea behind the series is that regardless of where you go in the world, there is no denying the impact that music has. It's basically a universal language. EPISODE 1: PHIL ADE EPISODE 2: THEO MARTINS EPISODE 3: ERICK ARC ELLIOTT EPISODE 4: DONDRE GREEN EPISODE 5: MIKE LIGHTS EPISODE 6: KARDI EPISODE 7: ERIN CHRISTINE EPISODE 8: EBENEZER COFIE (FROSTBYTE) - PART 1 I'm lucky enough to know several talented musicians and Ebenezer Cofie is one of them. We went to the same high school and he was pretty well-known around school for his rapping talents. Using the moniker of Frostbyte, Ebenezer has gotten better and better over the years with his sharp lyricism and witty lines. He's also a very intelligent individual and I look forward to seeing him and his music keep growing. This past summer we sat down to discuss how he got started in music, The Brotherhood, how he got the name Frostbyte, and more. Press play below, enjoy, and stay tuned for part two! This is the seventh episode of a series entitled 'Universal Language Originators.' The idea behind the series is that regardless of where you go in the world, there is no denying the impact that music has. It's basically a universal language. EPISODE 1: PHIL ADE EPISODE 2: THEO MARTINS EPISODE 3: ERICK ARC ELLIOTT EPISODE 4: DONDRE GREEN EPISODE 5: MIKE LIGHTS EPISODE 6: KARDI EPISODE 7: ERIN CHRISTINE I always work hard to make sure my videos are of the highest quality, but I've never worked as hard on one single video as I have on this one right here. The video is called Growing Pains and stars my friend and fellow creative, Dondre Green. If some of you are wondering why that name sounds familiar, it may be because earlier this year I did the cover for his musical compilation that bears the same name. In fact, the whole video is based off that project as Dondre and I collaborated to bring you a visual that gives you more of a glimpse into his life as an artist and person. A glimpse into the ups and downs of pursuing one's dreams and success from their passion. I'm not quite sure when exactly the idea was planted, but we started filming in early May and finished around late August. The shooting happened here and there when we would meet up to go to the city to hang out and film. After that came the lengthy editing process. Between there being a lot of footage, adjusting to the start of college, and trying to make the entire video as tight as possible - it took a while to finish. But now here we are. It's finally time to share with you guys what Dondre and I have been working so hard on over these last five months to show you. This is a different side of video for me, I'm usually either doing interviews or musical visuals with no dialogue. This, however, combines the musical visual aspect along with some talking scenes so it was a challenge to figure that out and work it into the video as nice and smoothly as possible. It was also challenging to make the story flow cohesively for nearly thirteen minutes. I know it may not be perfect, but hopefully you guys can see the vision we had and appreciate it. Shouts to the amigos who assisted on the acting tip with various cameos throughout the video: Kevin De Los Santos, Alberto Avacado, Kyle Ellis, and Brandon Wilson. As much as I talk about all the work that went into this project, it was also a lot of fun to shoot. Dondre is a good friend, easy to work with, has a great mindset, and someone whose talents I believe in very much. Please watch the whole thing all the way through, we're only asking for thirteen minutes of your time for something that took us an endless amount of hours to create. Press play and enjoy! Here is part two of my conversation with Matt Cohen of ItsBongoBoy where we discuss where the name came from, starting young, his signature catch phrase "Updated Daily" from the end of his videos, and much more. This is the ninth episode of a series under Boundless Dreams TV called 'Youngest in Charge.' The New Jersey native (operating under the name ItsBongoBoy) is way ahead of his peers with a ton of experience under his belt at only 16 years of age. Matt has interviewed many well-known and talented people in both the music and fashion realms, building a portfolio of 173 uploaded videos so far. Not all of those are interviews though, he also has his growing-signature Studio Sessions project going where artists perform in a mini-studio set up in Cohen's Jersey abode. With plenty of time to continue climbing, and already a bright future in his hands, there's no telling where this Bongo Boy will go. In part one of my two part conversation with Matt, we discussed how he started, how he decides who to feature, his Studio Sessions video series, and more. Press play, enjoy, and stay tuned for part two! This is the eighth episode of a series under Boundless Dreams TV called 'Youngest in Charge.' To see part one and read more about her, click here. Residing in the sunshine state of Florida, but having a more global influence with the help of the internet, is the music blogger and aficionado by the name of Ashley Outrageous. Being a female in this hip hop industry has both it's advantages and disadvantages but Ashley has pushed through them to make her name and site prominent on the ever-so expansive internet, earning her the nickname "the 5'2 giant." Not only does she have a popular music site but at 21 years young she also runs her own event company, Bread and Butter, with her best friend where they bring underground hip hop events to Miami. Ashley and I met up recently while she was in NY and shot this in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Vinny Picone, who I've interviewed for this site before, also tagged along and got some behind the scenes shots which you can see by clicking here. In this video (which is part one of two) we discuss some of the basics such as how she got started with her site, how she studied graphic design originally, her event company, and the future. Make sure that you stay tuned for more varied topics in part two! This is the tenth episode of a series called 'Conversations of the Craft.' The idea behind the series is that interviews are too formal. Conversations are a natural flow and progression of words between two or more people. These are conversations with talented individuals discussing their craft and what they love to do. He does written online interviews and posts other content he enjoys. Recently he also began his foray into the world of music, going from just freestyling once in a while to now actually creating and releasing his very first EP - The Chiaroscuro. While it's a short collection of songs, it shows promise with an interesting and honest subject matter. He also goes by the alter-ego Lace FM while sculpting these songs. I look forward to hearing more in the future from both Andre and Lace. This is the ninth episode of a series called 'Conversations of the Craft.'
