Surprisingly, before this summer I had never attended a wedding before. The one I attended was not the typical kind you see in movies, where everyone dresses up very fancy and it's a formal affair. This wedding, of family friends Terry and Carly, was much more casual and relaxed. That fact is quite fitting and appealing to me, actually. I'm not one to wear a suit often (or frankly, not at all unless I have to). Combine this with the location of it being at a park on the river and some great grilled food and energy - well, let's just say it was a good first experience.
Been really busy with school so haven't had as much time to post but summer is approaching so in a few more weeks I'll be able to start posting more frequently again. Hope you guys enjoy these goodtraits from March!
Been extremely busy with school and the magazine so haven't had much time to post here but finally getting around to putting up these Goodtraits (aka portraits) from January!
Oh, and new issue of LUDIQUE this Thursday! Can't wait to share what the team and I have been working on this month. 360 - Merry Christmas from Grandma 361 - Hey You 362 - Terminal Action 365 - Winter Warrior 366 - The End This last image represents how fast the year went and how much of a blur it would have been if not for my photos to capture the moments and life around me. I can't believe I'm writing the description for my final 366 photo right now. It's done. It's completed. It feels like I just started it yesterday, but as someone recently told me: "it feels like you've been working on this for 5 years." The inspiration to start this project came from seeing other 365 projects from great friends and fellow photographers like SNAPPS, Young CB, Connor Surdi, and more (by the way, normally the project is a 365 but this year was a leap year, hence it being a 366). At first, I was a little worried that it would maybe force some shots too much. As I found out, it did force them - but not in the way I was concerned about. Instead, it forced me to get photos that I otherwise would not have captured. I'm sure of it. Although this was one of the hardest projects I've ever done, it was the most rewarding. It was not always easy to get a shot of the day, especially the times where I would have classes and homework take up the majority of my day. However, even on days like that I made it work. It pushed my drive and my eye further to capture stronger and stronger images every day.
I want to thank all of you for your support during the project. I really enjoyed getting feedback from you guys + gals during the weekly recap's and anytime else. Thank you and hope you enjoyed viewing this project as much as I did making it. 351 - Technolayers 353 - Circle of Obsession 355 - Home for the Holidays 356 - Grabbing A Bite 357 - Dapper
