Very, very close to the relaunch. This will take I.D. to a whole new level, folks. Get ready.
*UPDATE: Some layout problems are currently taking place. The content and design are done, it's just a matter of technical issues with the layout. Still coming soon though, it's just a matter of how soon. Stay tuned. Exploring the streets of Europe for about a week. Announcement coming at the end of the month regarding the new site drop! Stay tuned and enjoy the rest of summer. It always flies by without us being able to slow it down.
Last summer, I was in a store by the name of Speakeasy when I first heard the music of Phil Ade. Intrigued, I was given a copy of Starting on JV (his first mixtape) at the store. I was immediately impressed by his playful and above average lyricism as well as overall sound. Ever since then I've been following his work and he recently just released a new free album entitled The Letterman (no, it's not a mixtape - all original everything). It's quite a body of music and Phil never disappoints with the wordplay. I would quote some lines but I can't even choose. A lot of them go over people's heads anyway. Did I forget to mention that he's only 21 and only started late in his junior year of school? And that he's already been signed to 368 music group for a bit now (shouts to Dre!)? Yep, all true. On one of the songs on The Letterman, Phil says "tell them SOBs that I'm headed for S.O.B.'s." For those who don't know, S.O.B.'s is an established and well-known concert venue in NYC that has hosted several famous shows. I doubt Phil knew he'd be turning those words into reality so soon but in fact, he was actually in NYC when we shot the video because he was performing there later that night. Speaking in a joking, but at the same time serious, tone; he stared up at the S.O.B.'s sign outside the venue and said "next is the Garden." I'll see you there, Phil. This is the first episode of a new series entitled Universal Language Originators. No matter where you go around the world, there is no denying the impact music has. Therefore, it's basically a universal language.
Modi. Not an average name but then again he's not an average person. He runs a site called DCtoBC and is heavily focused on his upcoming project that goes by the name of The Great Progression, or The Gee Pee. Modi is a very humble person which without a doubt comes off in person, as well as in the video (I believe). He just wants to inspire and spread the word about great people through his work. Press play on the video above to find out more. Shouts to Daniel and Michael (pictured below) who were there with Modi and are a part of his team. Modi was in town because DCtoBC was helping host a Chip Tha Ripper show (alongside illroots, HipHopUpdate, CDR, and more). Look out for the footage they got from that. And of course, big thanks to Modi. I can't even imagine yet what's in store with The Gee Pee! This is the third episode of a series under Boundless Dreams TV called 'Youngest in Charge.' The series is about a young generation of talented beings who are already on a path filled with making moves along the pursuit of nothing less than greatness.
