This is the second episode of a series entitled "Universal Language Originators." No matter where you go around the world, there is no denying the impact music has. It's basically a universal language.
EPISODE 1: PHIL ADE
|
Theo Martins, a Rhode Island native, is a very talented musician with much promise. Earlier this year after seeing his name around different places online, I decided to give his music a listen. A project he had just released, entitled "You Can't Do This on Television," caught my attention and I really liked the concept of it and the whole idea of breaking through the restricted content of what can be, or is, on TV. In fact, it resonates heavily with the theme behind Boundless Dreams TV in that with this project the goal is also to provide content that will probably not be found on TV; instead, providing true, honest, real life, stories of individuals with boundless dreams. Anyway, the project was short but skillful and I ended up going back and listening to Theo's past work (specifically his two mixtapes released before that, "The Birth" and "Channel Surfin"). Impressed by his unique flow and consistent content, there was no hesitation in wanting to have a conversation with him. It took a little bit, but when Theo was in Brooklyn at the beginning of September for a show at Southpaw, we finally got to chop it up and had a great discussion. Press play on the video player above to see what transpired. Theo's a very nice, cool, and humble dude. Watch out for his new project that's going to be dropping soon!

EPISODE 1: PHIL ADE When Johnny Cupcakes first posted the work of a brand by the name of Suffoca on his blog, I was immediately drawn into the unique characters, awesome art, and cool clothing. There was definitely something different about it. I reached out to Boyce, the owner of the site, and we would e-mail here and there for a while. However, when I was in London recently, I finally got to meet the man behind the brand and sit down with him to discuss a few things. Click the video player above to watch. Enjoy! This is the fourth episode of a series called 'Conversations of the Craft.' The idea behind the series is that interviews are too formal. Conversations are a natural flow and progression of words between two or more people. These are conversations with talented individuals discussing their craft and what they love to do.
EPISODE 1: THE YOYO KID PT. 1 (ADAM SCHULTZ) EPISODE 2: THE YOYO KID PT. 2 (ADAM SCHULTZ) EPISODE 3: DP (DATNEWCUDI / DP16) While in town from Vancouver, I met up with DP to discuss a variety of topics. For those who don't know, DP is a graphic designer and also runs the site DatNewCudi (which basically serves as a news page for all things related to Cudi). He talks about how the site blew up alongside Cudi's growth, when he got into graphic designing, making Chip tha Ripper's website, and more. The audio quality on this isn't as high as usual but it happens sometimes. Live & Learn. This is the third episode of a series called 'Conversations of the Craft.' EPISODE 1: THE YOYO KID PT. 1 (ADAM SCHULTZ) EPISODE 2: THE YOYO KID PT. 2 (ADAM SCHULTZ) I'm proud to present you all with this new redesigned, visually improved, dot com site. I decided to keep it simple for the most part as I feel it suits the site well and the content should be the more focused upon aspect anyway. I wanted to make the move to a dot com site to both shorten the URL and also to make it a bit more official. Originally announced and scheduled for a July 1st release date, it ended up having to be pushed back and with summer in full swing, it took even longer to finish everything up. However, look at it this way. Push backs and temporary but the site and layout are going to be around for a while. After all, "something truly great does not have a fear of time." This allowed me to come up with some even better ideas for the new site in that time in between. There is a bunch of new content up now and loads more on the way. It may be new photos, new episodes from Boundless Dreams TV, a new character, or a new blog post series. Keep checking back to see!
In the meantime, enjoy the new layout and content. Big thanks to Blake for helping with the coding and all for the site. Much appreciated. The Relaunch is closer than ever. Bear with me. Technical difficulties have arose at the last minute - what's new, right?
Get ready! For nearly a month I haven't posted any new content, since the new site keeps seeming closer than it really is. In reality, it keeps getting pushed back. But, it should be done soon. Hang in there with me, I want to get it up as much as you guys want me to (if not more). Anyway, in the meantime I decided to give a little insight into Boundless Dreams TV as well as a preview of what's to come.
The picture at the top of this post is made up of screenshots of four different Boundless Dreams TV episodes that are done and going to be released when the new site is done. I won't give you their names just yet, but they range from musician to graphic designer to clothing brand owner to photographer. Can you guess who applies to which? I also wanted to touch on something with Boundless Dreams TV. I started it this summer as a new project to work and connect with people that inspired me and who's work I respected. Every single person I met has been very humble, cool, and friendly. I really enjoy both shooting, editing, and putting out these videos. I've gotten some great responses, which only motivate me even more to both keep going and also make the episodes even better. I still have a list of people I want to talk to and hopefully that will result in many more episodes to come. Stay tuned for the site release sometime soon and these episodes to follow! Apologies on the ongoing wait, everyone. No more announced drop dates but don't worry, it won't be too much longer.
