Last month I dedicated an entire week on this site to showcasing a young band from Brooklyn called Phony Ppl - who I really believe in. This week they released their album Phonyland, which you should stream by clicking here if you know what's good for your ears. I won't go too much into detail regarding my thoughts on the album (for now), but I will say it is incredible. Anyway, the day after the release the Phonies celebrated by rocking the stage at the Highline Ballroom with confidence and style. Here are some pictures I captured that night. Enjoy and make sure to listen to their feel-good tunes! 9/366 - Ms. ColeLazo 10/366 - Don't Tell The Mermaids 11/366 - Bawse of Boston Filmed with the man and photographer extraordinaire Evan Tetreault today. As much as I love the city, it's always nice to get away from the rush of yellow taxi cabs, skyscrapers, noise and go to a place of mountain views, quietness, and tall trees. Enjoy these shots I got in the Catskills over New Years weekend. 1/366 - Toast to 20trill Here's the first shot of the photographic journey that will be my 366 project. For those not familiar with the concept, every day this year I will be taking and posting a photo so sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. This should be fun. This shot pretty much tells the tale itself in the Happy New Years spirit but the caption behind it, 20trill, is representing that this is a year of being trill (for those who don't know: slang for the combination true + real). I'm not one for major resolutions because I believe throughout the year you should always be progressing, but here's to a year filled with more great opportunities and experiences. Toast! 2/366 - Dogs in Catskills Spent New Years weekend upstate with friends and family but sadly today was the last day. Here's my friend Phil with his two faithful and funny dogs, Georgi and Neo. They (all three of them) have actually starred in a couple videos I've done as well, which you can see here and here. 3/366 - Purple Swag 4/366 - Rack City 5/366 - Highway to Hell 6/366 - Shaun White of Hip Hop Filmed an interview today with Roger from TheMaskedGorilla, a hip hop music blog site that you will find more about once the video is released. For now, have a peek at his site here. 7/366 - Thank You Based God for YoYo's
This is my friend Adam Schultz, otherwise known as The YoYo Kid, who some of you may recognize from some videos I've shot of him in the past. One of which is the first video I ever did, which was very spur of the moment but I am still proud of, and enjoy, to this day. Check the links below to watch. He's from Queens and is the most talented person I've ever seen with a YoYo. Today we Thank You Based God for his talents hahah #swag #wavy #shwavy |
